Happy New Year

I know I am not doing very good with my blogging. We have been so busy with kids, and adoption paperwork, and sports, and adoption paperwork, and our jobs, and adoption paperwork, and the holidays....and did I mention all the paperwork...that I have neglected my blog. So many people email us and call us wanting to know how things are going so I feel very guilty that I haven't posted an update so here we go...

Dossier is complete. The I-800A approval came just before Christmas so that was our special gift! That, along with a couple other documents, have been sent for apostille so when those are returned, we will send them to Bulgaria. The rest of our dossier is traveling tomorrow with a family who will be making their first trip to Bulgaria to visit their son.

Once our paperwork is in Bulgaria, we start waiting again. Please pray with us that the wait will be short.

I'm back!!

Please forgive me for waiting so long to post an update. We have finally made it to the end....all our paperwork is ready to go, just that final approval is still needed. As soon as it arrives, we will send this huge packet of documents on its way. We had hoped to travel while we are on Christmas break, but that may be pushed into January or possibly even February, but we are trusting God....this will happen in His timing. We are so excited to make our first trip and meet our babies. It will all be worth it when we can hold them in our arms. We want to say thank you for all the support, prayers, and encouragement and thank you to those who have donated to our adoption fund!! We are so grateful to have the opportunity to take this journey and to share it with you all!!

FINALLY!!

FBI clearances have arrived! FINALLY!! It seemed like they would never get here. One step closer.

Fundraising is going well. We have so many great friends. Tim....you are awsome!! Thanks for your hard work last weekend.

USCIS is next!

Obstacles.....

I know that our adoption of these two beautiful children is without a doubt God's will. All the doors along this journey have opened at just the right time. Prayers have been answered and every hurdle has been successfully jumped. We know that the devil will TRY throw obstacles into our path but it is so awesome to be victorious in spite of his efforts to defeat us.

Just a shout out to Mrs. G and Auntie T...thank you so much for your efforts to get the word out about our adoption. There are so many people we have not yet reached and because of your time and energy we have received even more support.

We are so grateful to all those who have come forward to help us in our fundraising efforts.
Please continue to pray that this process will move quickly and smoothly.

Names for our Children

So many people have been asking, so I will share the names we have picked for our children...

We will call our daughter: AVERY ELLINA
and our son will be called: CADEN NICHOLAS
